About the job:
As one of our Senior Electrical Engineers, you will lead projects in EMEA for companies that lead in technology-driven solutions. It will be second nature for you to manage project delivery from conception all the way through to completion/client handover. You will confidently manage and grow relations with accounts. Your expertise will expand beyond just the electrical field, also including BMS/EPMS, Security, and CSA. You will excel at project design planning to meet client expectations. Additionally, you will manage a team of support engineers, mentoring them in their professional development and ensuring all deliverables from the team align with our quality assurance systems prior to handover.
About you:
1. Degree or Diploma in Building Services or Electrical Engineering
2. Minimum 6+ years of electrical building services design experience
3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech; REVIT is an advantage
4. Expert knowledge and experience in the following Electrical design areas: Lighting & Emergency Lighting, Small Power and Data, Fire alarms, CCTV & Intruder Alarms, MV/LV Power Distribution, Containment and BMS
5. Confident in client meetings, skillfully communicating on behalf of the design team
6. Ability to lead projects, taking a brief from the project lead, delivering and controlling required tasks
7. Multi-tasker, with the ability to prioritize and delegate as appropriate to meet project deadlines
8. Excellent report writing, explaining complex engineering issues in simple and clear language
9. Knowledgeable in Irish and European Standards (training can be provided)
10. Desire to grow with the organization, undertaking training and mentorship to progress into a lead role in our Global Tech team
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Electrical Services design for a range of projects
2. Design and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectors
3. Production of detailed schematics
4. Develop the electrical design standards within the organization
5. Mentoring of junior engineering staff
6. Develop detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site until project completion
7. Tender report/analysis/recommendations
8. Develop project scope with design team/client
9. Produce budgets and reports for clients
10. Take lead on projects with minimal input from the management team
11. Deliver high-tech smart office developments for some of the largest tech firms
