Job Title: Maintenance and Reliability Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to join our Cork-based team, providing engineering support in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert engineering support to maintenance teams and equipment owners.
* Develop and implement effective maintenance programs for reliable operation of equipment.
* Design and deliver training programs for maintenance personnel on new equipment, methods, and techniques.
* Investigate and resolve issues identified by equipment owners or through preventative maintenance programs.
* Participate in and investigate HSE and Quality observations/deviations.
* Ensure local maintenance procedures align with global engineering standards and best practices.
* Lead reliability improvements to identify equipment obsolescence and support planned replacement.
* Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the maintenance program.
* Analyse predictive and condition-based monitoring data to inform follow-up actions.
* Contribute to the development of site mechanical specifications.
* Develop, review, and own departmental standard operating procedures.
* Review and maintain critical equipment inventory levels.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Level 8).
* At least 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry in a maintenance/engineering role.
* Proven ability to work independently with strong organisational skills.
* Ability to utilise systems, procedures, and processes effectively.
* Working knowledge of EU directives and national/international engineering standards.
* Expertise in troubleshooting and equipment failure investigation.
