Senior Education Coordinator & Data Integration Lead Fixed term post (to 31st March 2026) The "Regional Skills Horizon and Pathways to Employment" (Re SHAPE) project, led by Munster Technological University (MTU) with partners Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and the University of Limerick (UL), is an initiative to deliver education, training and skills development opportunities for the economic development and environmental sustainability of the Midlands region.
At its core Re SHAPE is the development of an intelligent platform that catalogues the education, training, and entrepreneurial supports available in the region.
In addition to being a repository of education and skills information, this platform will serve as a dynamic tool that can map an individual's current skills to up skilling opportunities and onwards mapped to their target roles.
This career pathway planning tool will not only be invaluable to individuals, enterprise but also to agencies such as Enterprise Ireland and the IDA in attracting FD&I into the midlands region.
The Re SHAPE Project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the EU Just Transition Fund Programme 2021-2027.
The Role: The Re SHAPE project is entering the next phase of its charter and applications are invited for the following position- Re SHAPE Senior Education and Data Integration Lead (SEDIL).
The Re SHAPE SEDIL is responsible for overseeing the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of all educational offerings in the Re SHAPE portfolio and leading on the data integration of educational pathways into the Re SHAPE skills platform.
The Re SHAPE SEDIL will serve as a vital link between the academic partner institutions, delivery partners, the Re SHAPE Industry coordinator and the wider community to ensure training and educational offerings meet students and stakeholders needs.
The Re SHAPE SEDIL will work directly with the Re SHAPE Operations Core Project Team and report directly to the Re SHAPE Project Manager.
The Re SHAPE SEDIL will provide expert guidance and oversight of the data integration for the project, ensuring seamless integration of educational resources, training materials, and learner data into the Re SHAPE Skills Platform.
The Senior Research Fellow will ensure data quality, consistency, and relevance, while establishing protocols for continuous monitoring and improvement.
Qualifications & Experience An appropriate third-level qualification at NFQ level 8 or equivalent or above in a relevant area A Ph D in a relevant discipline Three years relevant experience in role related to the duties and responsibilities outlined below Requirements: Proven leadership abilities Ability to adapt to changing working practices.
Fluent in spoken and written English ? Project management experience.

Desirable: Experience in quality assurance and feedback management & continuous improvement monitoring of training / educational courses Experience in Learner engagement activities Strong understanding of the challenges faced by target communities in accessing education and engaging in education Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Proficient in project management and educational technology tools.
Strong networking skills with the ability to engage various stakeholders.
Sensitivity and adaptability to diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
Duties: Provide leadership and direction in the design, development and coordination of data requirements in relation to educational and training offerings across the Re SHAPE partner portfolio.
Lead the design and development of the data ingestion process for the Re SHAPE Digital Skills Platform, ensuring accurate and timely integration of educational content and training resources Design and develop frameworks and protocols for monitoring data quality and ensuring its alignment with project goals.
Collaborate closely with the Re SHAPE Educational Coordinator in UL and the Re SHAPE Industry Engagement and Educational Coordinator in TUS to deliver high-quality training to learners in the Midlands region.
Collaborate closely with the Re SHAPE Software engineering team and external vendors to ensure accurate framework and protocol development for ingestion of data.
Support the day-to-day operations of work package 4 in the Re SHAPE Project in collaboration with the Re SHAPE Project and Programme Manager.
Research, identify, and implement best-in-class workflows for the application process for learners on Re SHAPE courses.
Facilitate external stakeholder relationships through collaborative meetings, seminars, workshops, and activities.
Collaborate with the Re SHAPE App/Platform Development team (work package 3) to ensure effective integration of educational resources.
Build and maintain partnerships with industry stakeholders to ensure programs remain relevant and aligned with regional needs.
Research, identify and manage relevant training that fit with the Re SHAPE programme, catering to the needs of local communities and align with industry requirements.
In conjunction with the Re SHAPE Digital Media Officer, develop strategies to engage learners in relation to the Re SHAPE digital skills platform.
Actively engage with marginalised communities in the midlands region to understand their educational needs and barriers, and tailor offering/ access to offering accordingly.
Provide training and support to instructors and users of the Re SHAPE app/platform.
Research, identify, and implement evaluation tools to assess programme effectiveness and impact.
Actively promote the Re SHAPE project throughout its lifecycle across relevant media.
Conduct outreach activities for Re SHAPE in collaboration with the Re SHAPE Programme Manager and Industry Engagement Coordinator.
Disseminate and communicate project research outputs effectively.
Undertake other appropriate duties as assigned by the Project Sponsor/Director.
Salary Scale: Senior Research Fellow Salary Scale : Point 1 €79,356- Point 4 €85,162 Location: This post is based within Munster Technological University in Tralee.
However, as the Re SHAPE project delivery is focused on the Midlands region, travel to partner meetings, events and training delivery will be required from time to time.
