Role Description: We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our team in a full-time capacity.
This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives on working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and seeks to drive business growth.
The successful candidate will work on projects across a wide range of sectors including the extractive and waste industry and domestic, commercial and industrial developments.
This role offers the unique opportunity to work on diverse projects in a supportive team.
Key responsibilities: Manage projects from conception through completion with both clients, internal teams and external specialists to ensure successful delivery.
Communicating with clients, external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with all project requirements.
Liaising with County Councils, An Bord Pleanála and other statutory bodies as required.
Drive growth and development of the company.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Understand client needs, provide expert advice, and deliver high-quality environmental consulting services to meet project objectives.
Take ownership of projects from inception to completion, including proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Providing mentorship and direction to team members and sub-consultants.
Skills to include: A working knowledge and proven track record of Environmental Impact Assessment, preparation and management EPA Industrial Emissions Licence applications Preparation of discharge licence applications Preparation of waste permission applications By products (Article 27) and end of waste (Article 28) And other environmental reports.
Full Clean Driving Licence Fluent/highly proficient in spoken and written English Minimum of 10 years' experience working in the environmental sector Demonstrated experience in conducting environmental assessments, impact studies, and regulatory compliance assessments.
Technical report writing skills Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.
Knowledge of EU and Irish legislation and its practical applications.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and project management abilities Capable of working independently and willingness to travel Ability to work collaboratively Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
