Job Description
Egis Lagan Services is hiring a permanent Site Engineer to join the team.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and assist with the general day-to-day running of the project, overseeing road maintenance and construction/renewal activities to ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program, undertake and report on safety inspections and cyclical inspections of all road inventory and assets.
* Identify and categorize defects using the GIS based Routine Maintenance Management System (RMMS).
* Manage asset data and report on the RMMS system.
* Coordinate repairs and close out defects in accordance with contract requirements.
* Develop proposals for network renewals, including costing and client review.
* Supervise and monitor sub-contractors' performance on site.
* Attend internal HSEQ audits and ISO inspections.
* Maintain accurate works records and contribute to monthly report preparation.
* Liaise with Local Authorities, Gardaí, sub-contractors, public and client agents.
* Develop Health & Safety documentation.
* Make winter maintenance decisions.
* Create traffic management plans using AutoCAD software.
* Assist with 3rd party claims.
* Plan works efficiently to meet programme targets.
* Check routine maintenance works as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Project Management.
* Background in construction and/or maintenance.
* Knowledge of civils/construction processes.
* Commercial awareness.
* Survey experience using GPS equipment.
* Experience with GIS systems.
* Proficient in AutoCAD.
Skills and Abilities:
* Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
