Head of Supply Chain required with 10 years experience in supply chain management, ideally in electrical equipment, construction, or infrastructure. Responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain operations including procurement, warehousing, and fleet management.
Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of quality materials.
2. Inventory Management: Oversee and optimise inventory levels to avoid excess stock or shortages.
3. Logistics & Distribution: Manage the transportation of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring timely deliveries to customers or project sites.
4. Demand Forecasting & Planning: Work with cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
5. Cost Management & Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs across the supply chain while maintaining quality.
6. Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure that all materials and processes comply with industry standards and government regulations.
7. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and develop the supply chain team to ensure a high-performance culture.
8. Data Analysis & Reporting: Track key supply chain metrics (KPIs) such as lead times, costs, inventory turnover, supplier performance, and on-time delivery rates.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, ideally in electrical equipment, construction, or infrastructure.
3. APICS, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
4. Ability to effectively negotiate with suppliers and logistics partners.
5. Ability to analyse data, forecast demand, and make decisions based on data insights.
6. Strong problem-solving skills to address supply chain disruptions and improve processes.
7. Strong leadership skills to manage teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain management software.
