About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team at a leading pharmaceutical company.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional to take on key responsibilities in tax management, working closely with external auditors and advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing quarterly and annual US (federal & state) and international tax provisions, ensuring accurate and timely tax accounting disclosures.
* Collaborate with external auditors to support their audit of the tax provision.
* Support both US and international tax matters, including preparation of tax technical memorandums and calculations on topics such as valuation allowances, Pillar Two, thin capitalisation, FATCA, and permanent reinvestment assertion.
* Research tax issues and ensure company compliance with relevant income tax laws.
* Stay up-to-date on new and developing tax legislative and technical issues.
* Prepare tax analyses and assist with special projects as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing and reviewing international, federal, and state income tax filings with external advisors.
* Support M&A activity projects at various stages, ensuring compliance with certain positions taken.
* Implement software programs to automate the tax function.
* Prepare global transfer pricing documentation, collaborating with internal and external advisors.
* Manage all tax matters relating to special purpose companies.
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent)
* Chartered Tax Advisor
* Minimum 3 years PQE in a large corporate tax environment (biotech/pharma industry an advantage)
* Well-organized with excellent attention to detail
* Strong analytical skills and ability to research complex issues
* Self-motivated, able to work individually and as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of the business
* Ability to build effective working relationships with all levels of the business
* Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
* Works with integrity and can be trusted to handle confidential projects
* Adaptable and able to quickly respond to changing priorities
