The role involves contributing to the development of short, medium and long-term
objectives while supporting the site Head of Operations and other key stakeholders to
ensure compliance with statutory health and safety obligations.
The position focuses on fostering a safe workplace environment, free from health risks, and
involves developing, implementing, and ensuring adherence to health and safety risk control
standards, policies, procedures, and programs across the organization.
Key Accountabilities:
• Responsible for the completion and regular review of risk assessments and implementation of findings where appropriate
• Ensure that all incidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented. Responsible for the H&S logs and Corrective action tracking.
• Support and co-ordinate adverse event reporting.
• Provide subject matter expertise to the organisation on various H&S related topics.
• Co-ordinate and support internal and external H&S audits as appropriate.
Skills and Experience Required:
• NEBOSH Cert Minimum / NEBOSH Diploma preferable or equivalent.
• Experience in Occupational Health and Safety.
• A minimum of two years' experience working in a heavy industry or food manufacturing environment
• Excellent attention to detail, technical writing skills and good working knowledge of MS Office.
• Working knowledge of factors impacting on health and well-being and of H&S regulatory compliance including auditing
