As the Hotel Deputy General Manager, you will assist the General Manager in overseeing the hotel’s daily operations, ensuring efficient and smooth running across all departments. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent service standards, managing staff, and ensuring that the hotel consistently meets its financial, operational, and customer satisfaction targets.
Our client is a prominent hotel in Athlone, known for offering exceptional guest experiences and high-quality services. The hotel provides accommodation, dining, and event services, catering to a diverse clientele, including tourists, business travellers, and local guests.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and events.
* Ensure that the hotel consistently delivers outstanding guest service and meets operational standards.
* Support in managing the hotel’s financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue management.
* Lead and motivate staff, ensuring effective team collaboration and promoting a positive work environment.
* Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and service issues in a professional and efficient manner.
* Oversee the planning and execution of events, ensuring client satisfaction and smooth operations.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across the hotel.
* Stand in for the General Manager during absences and take charge of day-to-day decision-making.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a management role within the hospitality industry, ideally as a Deputy General Manager or senior management position.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and driving revenue growth.
* Exceptional customer service skills and a guest-focused approach.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Living in Ireland with the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
