Project Manager
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Projects Manager to join our client's team based in Shannon.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering successful outcomes in a diverse portfolio of capital improvement projects and operational projects.
The job holder will establish and maintain a centralised data room for storing and accessing key engineering drawings, surveys, and other technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and manage Opex and selected Capex projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure, operational efficiency, and passenger experience.
* Coordinate project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
* Establish and maintain a centralised digital data room to store and manage key engineering documentation such as drawings, surveys, reports, and project records.
* Implement systems and processes for efficient data retrieval and ensure compliance with data security.
* Adhere to public procurement guidelines, ensuring compliance and competitive procedures are followed.
* Prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory audits and inspections.
* Develop and manage engineering project budgets working closely with finance colleagues for accurate financial planning and reporting.
* Cross-functional collaboration is a key part of the role, for example, working with IT, Finance, and Operations colleagues on projects.
* Lead a team of engineering technicians to deliver project success.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
* A recognised qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field to bachelor's degree level.
* Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in a team leadership or managerial role.
* Knowledge of aviation and airport environment would be an advantage.
* Must have experience in project management.
* Skilled user of engineering software, project management tools (AutoCAD, etc.), MS Office, and BIM System.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Possess a high level of drive and energy and the ability to make things happen.
