Position Summary:
This position is responsible for executing the talent strategy, providing a consistent experience to managers and employees and supporting and executing the engagement strategy. The Associate HR Manager provides HR partnership to managers focusing on the work environment, employee relations, employee retention and business processes by executing the business unit HR strategy. The Associate HR Manager possesses a solid understanding of all HR functions and works with managers and/or HR partners in areas such as employee relations, compensation, and performance management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Human Resources Expertise
1. Serves as subject-matter expert to managers
2. Applies policies and procedures across organization; assists in the interpretation and administration of company policies and guidelines and will advise and counsel others in equitable application
3. Applies compliance knowledge to mitigate risk
4. Implements solutions that are aligned and consistent with global HR best practices
Relationship Management
5. Effectively builds strong partnerships with managers to ensure HR resources are effectively provided to each group
6. Will maintain constant and effective involvement in employee relations activities
Business Acumen
7. Provides guidance on HR matters, partnering with subject-matter experts to develop needed solutions
8. Uses knowledge of business and HR metrics to facilitate business decisions
9. Demonstrates working knowledge of the labor market and its relation to organizational success
Consultation
10. Partners with managers and HR to implement business solutions, utilizing HR expertise and perspective; supports managers on HR projects
11. Coaches managers on HR and business-related issues
12. Executes programs, policies, and procedures to drive an engaged and performing organizational culture
13. Delivers solutions that address issues of retention, change management and employee engagement, partnering with subject-matter experts as appropriate
14. Executes consistent HR services for the operating entity
HR Insights
15. Analyzes and presents data to managers and recommends solutions that support the culture and the defined HR strategy
16. Analyzes root causes of work environment issues; manages interventions and solutions in collaboration and cooperation with key stakeholders
Education
17. B.A. or B.S from accredited university
Experience:
18. Ideally 6+ years of work experience required - previous HR experience and demonstrated experience interacting with COE's and business leaders
19. 6+ years of increasingly responsible human resources experience preferred
20. Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations/performance management matters
21. Strong facilitation, consulting, relationship-building, influence, negotiation skills, conflict resolution and project management skills
22. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence different groups
23. Demonstrated execution ability
24. Capability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization
25. Strong situational assessment and objective evaluation skills
26. Exercise independent judgment with strong attention to detail
27. Analyze, understand and communicate complicated issues to Managers and Employees to ensure understanding
28. Develop solutions based on best practices and customer feedback
29. Solicit input from managers and exercise independent judgment in providing recommendations to the business
30. Effectively facilitate discussions with and deliver communications to large groups of people
31. Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities
