The senior project controls manager will be responsible for leading the reporting team and the performance within the PMO function. The role holder will support with review and development of a performance and reporting framework, including the development of processes and procedures, systems and controls, and reporting templates to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of the performance of the client. The role holder shall provide leadership in performance and reporting throughout the delivery, ensuring that the performance and reporting framework is being complied with across the project, including by the project delivery partner and other appointed contractors. The role holder will also ensure that reporting deliverables and associated performance analysis are of a high quality, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), overseeing the capture of programme data as well as performance reporting. The reporting manager will also be required to embed a focus on continuous improvement and best practice reporting to drive a high performing programme delivery and the achievement of key success metrics.

11. Facilitating and driving periodic reporting and structured governance and performance meetings.
12. Accountable for developing and managing Baseline (scope, time, cost, risk, assumptions) and subsequent delivery performance, change, and contingency monitoring.
13. Contributing to the development of quantitively analysis (cost and time).
14. Working alongside the PMO Director and/or project manager to recognise actions, recognise opportunities and mitigate risks and issues.
15. Coordinates activities/operations to ensure they are carried out in line with Mace control centre, client requirements, and prevailing legislation.
16. Line management of a team of PMO and project controls members to deliver on assigned commissions.
17. Providing comprehensive technical expertise to mentor and assist the personal and career development of team members of the PMO and project controls team.
18. Managing the integration of project controls with PMO and planning disciplines.
19. Supporting the HUB PMO and project controls director with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.
20. Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:
27. Relevant university degree in construction, engineering, project administration or equivalent.
28. Experience of effective PMO and project controls leadership on complex construction projects.
29. Experience of setting up effective PMO and Project Controls Services/audit and assurance frameworks/strategies.
30. Comprehensive knowledge of risk tools, techniques and software such as MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive.
31. Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.
32. Progress towards management successful programmes/P3O/P3M3 accreditation
33. Practical knowledge/application, and understanding of the opportunities related to data analytics, Power BI and other reporting suite tools.
34. Basic knowledge of tools, techniques and software that interfaces with the risk discipline such as Primavera Risk Analyser, @risk, Active Risk Manager.
35. APM Planning and project controls foundation alongside general interest in the construction/consultancy sector.
36. General interest in PMO and project controls disciplines including reporting and performance management.
37. Basic awareness/understanding of basic risk principles, processes and techniques.
38. An interest in data analytics.
You’ll also have:
39. Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
40. Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
41. Strong commercial and financial acumen.
42. Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
43. Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
44. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
