COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Our client is a leading award-winning export-focused manufacturing company based in Blessington, looking for a talented and motivated Project Manager to join their team. This position will report directly to the Managing Director. Based in Wicklow and Netherlands, you will have responsibility for providing technical and project management expertise. The Project Manager is required to deliver a high-profile project, with overall responsibility from team management, programme management, and client liaison to project delivery. Involved in all aspects of the projects from concept to completion.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
List of responsibilities
* Overall responsibility for the project including project management managing related teams and delivery of the project within scope and budget.
* Ensure projects are completed as per plans and within assigned schedules via management of the construction programme.
* Update and communicate weekly to the management on significant issues, budgets, KPIs, works completed, and conduct of works.
* Monitor and analyse project performance against clearly identified indicators and recommend future performance enhancements.
* Prepare the monthly management report for the project areas.
* Liaising with the client, their contractors, and the construction supervision company.
* Governance – Deliver weekly & monthly updates to management, Risk Management, compliance Management, Custodian of strict onsite Security Policies & Procedures.
* Overall ownership of projects, delivering projects on time and within budget through a team of Project Managers.
* Involvement from design stage, proactive in improvement recommendations.
* Oversee all SLAs & agreements.
* Oversee Health & Safety on site for the project.
* Responsibility for enforcement of all legal responsibilities of the project.
* Overall responsible for Quality of work and materials.
* Plan and control financials.
* Lead the teams related to the project.
NUMBER OF YEARS PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
* You hold a Degree/qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience with Metal Fabrication.
* 10+ years’ post-qualification experience.
* You must have good knowledge of the latest building regulations and certification standards.
* You must have the ability to lead, use initiative, and be self-motivated.
* The candidate shall have significant experience in construction and project management in large construction projects.
* Experience in Quality & Lean Six Sigma is an advantage. Ability to build relationships and effective communication across the Departments.
* Demonstrable experience working to strict H&S controls.
* Aptitude for problem resolution and handling complaints.
* Project and time management.
* Well-developed IT skills and report writing.
* Change Management experience.
* Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
* Flexible approach in dealing with dynamic challenges.
* Demonstrate initiative and innovation.
* Ability to read & understand specifications & drawings.
* Excellent people manager.
