Technical Business Development Manager - Clare

Our client seeks a hands-on Business Development Manager that not only targets potential projects, but secures the business as well as taking an active role in managing the projects ongoing. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for development of new business and managing relationships with key accounts.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Achieve agreed sales targets and personal objectives as set by the Managing Director.
2. Identify and target potential clients, proactively network and build relationships.
3. Complete regular market, competitor and sector analysis.
4. Hold regular communication meetings with project team members throughout the process.
5. Proactively work on project pipeline.
6. Complete and submit regular sales reports to Managing Director.
7. Ensure that all information contained within bids is accurate and that commercial solutions detailed can be delivered at agreed margin.
8. Follow business process for new contract set-ups.
9. Ensure handover to Operations is seamless.
10. Travel to Trade Shows.
11. Presentations to new and existing customers.
Skills & Experience required for this role:
1. Expert knowledge of the sub-contract engineering industry, specifically precision CNC machining.
2. Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop compelling, commercially viable proposals for all service offerings.
3. Excellent PC and organisational skills. Ability to produce/interpret/analyse reports, prepare presentations and tender documents.
4. Ability to project manage with experience in various aspects of manufacturing industry including Sales, Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, Production Management, Project Management, Site Management, Resource Planning and Scheduling.
5. Proven ability to work to targets & KPI's.
6. Strong solutions sales experience.
