Senior Recruitment Consultant - Compliance at Elevate Partners
Our client, a leading wealth manager, is seeking a Legal Director on a permanent contract, reporting to the General Counsel. The job will play a critical role in shaping legal and regulatory strategy, engaging at board level, and providing high-level legal counsel to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Director will include:
* Providing strategic legal advice on pensions, funds, corporate law, and regulatory matters.
* Acting as a key advisor to the board and senior leadership, ensuring legal and governance best practices.
* Partnering with the business to advise on the implementation of appropriate legal strategy including standardisation and streamlining of legal review processes.
* Leading on complex transactions, commercial contracts, and corporate structuring.
* Engaging with regulators, external legal counsel, and senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Requirements of the Legal Director will include:
* 10+ years PQE, with a strong background in pensions, funds, and corporate law.
* Qualified Solicitor with a relevant law degree obtained.
* Experience working in a regulated industry, ideally within financial services.
* Proven ability to engage at board level and provide high-impact legal advice to senior executives.
* Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
* Proven ability to successfully manage large scale projects and lead teams on complex matters.
