Quantity Surveyor
This is a critical role within our organization, responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects from initial costing to final accounts.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing the full process including contract administration, procurement, and cost control.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a positive, can-do attitude and have commercial experience ideally with a main contractor, with the ability to motivate people to reach common goals.
This role will be a mix of working from home and office based, with travel to site in Leinster one day a week.
Responsibilities
* Monitor project costs, identify potential cost overruns and implement corrective actions
* Develop and manage cost control systems, prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts
* Establish streamlined QS processes and reporting systems to improve efficiency
* Prepare valuations, process payments for subcontractors, and ensure accurate project billing to improve cash flow and project efficiency
* Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect project profitability, ensuring sound financial planning for growth
* Generate clear, detailed financial reports, including cost-to-complete analyses, providing insights to inform business decisions and project planning
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Demonstrable experience of managing a range of different contracts and dealing with complex contract arrangements
* Highly developed commercial awareness
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable developing relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels
* Resourcefulness and ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail
