Design Coordinator (Data Centre)

€55-60k + Package
Required for leading International main contractor working on large data centre projects in Ireland & Overseas.
You will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the correct and timely delivery of all design related information for the execution of works on site.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure the design recognises all aspects of health & safety, environmental and quality related matters.
2. Input into the selection of design sub – contractors.
3. Assist procurement team to finalize any long lead items in line with project programme.
4. Assist Commercial Manager/Quantity Surveyor in checking Employers Requirements/Cost Proposal Compatibility.
5. Chair and minute Design meetings and ensure production of information in line with the design programme.
6. Liaise with the Manufacturing & site team to ensure build-able and robust details with the agreement of the construction team.
7. Check sub-contractors/design drawings for compliance and interface.
8. Work with the site team (incl. QS) to consider alternatives.
9. Report on the effectiveness of the design team and design sub-contractor.
10. Liaise with the M&E Co-ordination to ensure compatibility of building and services.
11. Add value and reduce cost to the building without decreasing the buildings durability or reducing any warranty.
12. Communicate design opportunities and risks to RDM.
13. Compile, record and manage information-required documents.
14. Communicate changes/variations with site QS.
15. Ability to Manage multiple projects at one time.
16. Ensure the design recognises all aspects of health & safety, environmental and quality related matters.
Requirements
17. Minimum 3-year’s experience
18. Understand different Client procurement routes
19. Have a functional ability to use Revit or Similar design software.
20. Experience of site/contract procedures would be an advantage.
21. Ability to organize, plan, programme and manage workloads
22. Understanding of Building Regulations and Planning Permission procedures
