Senior Sous Chef
Salary: €40-44k
Location: Kildare
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sous Chef to lead a great team in a high-volume hotel.
2. As Sous Chef you will manage all aspects of the kitchen operation including operational, quality and administrative functions and ensure food is of the finest quality and cooked to perfection.
3. It is key that you have a great understanding of seasonal / current food trends in the market and have an understanding of menu costing and how to deliver GP.
4. Must be hands on and enjoys working in a fast paced environment with proven ability to control service from the front to ensure maximum results during peak periods with an unrelenting focus on quality.
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
6. People leadership, mentoring, coaching and development experience.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
8. Demonstrates creativity in food presentation and a passion for creating delightful dishes.
9. Good time management skills to handle busy service periods and meet deadlines.
10. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
11. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
12. Experience in dealing with EHO audits and relevant regulatory bodies.
13. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
