Your new role
As a maintenance fitter, your primary focus will be to generate maximum asset up-time through planned and preventative maintenance over a 3-day weekend shift, Friday to Sunday 12-hour shifts 07:30am-7:30pm
Key Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
1. Maintaining, repairing, and installing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment on various asset types across the site.
2. Applying excellent problem-solving skills to swiftly fault-find and rectify problems.
3. Working independently with OEMs and external contractors on maintenance, repairs and installations.
4. Promoting and leading a proactive and positive safety culture, ensuring adherence to safe working practices.
5. Using CMMS to generate and record all planned, reactive and project work.
6. Liaising with OEMs and other vendors when diagnosing faults, ordering, or sourcing replacement parts.
7. Providing support and participating in all continuous improvement projects and trials.
8. Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements, company policy and all statutory requirements.
9. Effective and timely communication with Engineering, Production and Quality personnel.
What you'll need to succeed
10. 3+ years practical hands-on experience in a relevant industrial setting.
11. Maintenance Fitter Craft Certificate or equivalent is essential.
12. Strong technical capability with the ability to read, understand and work from technical drawings.
13. Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
14. Proven ability to work well as part of a team and independently, using your own initiative with minimum supervision.
15. Positive attitude to changing circumstances and work priorities.
16. Excellent interpersonal and professional conduct.
17. Experience in the print and packaging sector is desirable but not essential.
18. Competency using SAP PM and Microsoft Office will be a distinct advantage.
