We are seeking a Site Engineer to join our client's team on a permanent basis.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting-out the site and dimensional controls in accordance with the relevant contract Drawings, Specification and Site Surveys. This involves reviewing construction outputs and planning the most efficient sequence of operations with an emphasis on control of the works, quality and technical advice.
The Site Engineer will carry out their work in accordance with company standard procedures. Key responsibilities include:
* Setting out works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site surveys.
* Raising RFIs and resolving technical issues with employers representatives, suppliers, subcontractors and statutory authorities.
* Liaising with the project purchasing department to ensure that purchase orders adequately define the specified requirements.
* Inputs into specific elements of the Inspection and Test Plans, and ensuring that our supply chain provides test data to back up the contract technical requirements.
* Setting up drawing registers and ensuring that sub-contractors use the latest version of contract record drawings & specifications.
Qualifications and Skills:
Candidate must have an engineering-related qualification, be articulate and numerate, capable of delivering reports verbally and written in an objective and persuasive manner.
They should also demonstrate initiative and resilience, possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and act in an independent and professional manner.
