We’re looking for Graduate Acoustics Consultants to join our team of more than 70 bright professionals across our European and UK offices.

As part of the Acoustics Team, you will provide support to team members to deliver an effective and professional service to our clients. Your project involvement will be extremely diverse and likely to include architectural acoustics; environmental noise and vibration; building services noise and sound systems design.
You will be engaged on a portfolio of projects, working with various teams and ranging in scale, duration, and design stage, providing you with a diverse working environment.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, working on some of the most exciting and challenging projects both in Ireland and abroad. As an Acoustic Consultant at Arup, you will:
* Work across a wide variety of markets including Performing Arts, Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Residential, Sport, Rail, Highways, Aviation, and Energy.
* Gain a broad range of experience, including planning and feasibility studies; environmental and health impact assessments; building and infrastructure design; noise modelling; on-site measurements; auralisation and sound visualisation (including Arup SoundLab and i¦Lab); as well as many other activities.
* Undertake site-based noise and vibration measurements as required for projects, including environmental noise monitoring and building acoustics.
* Conduct desk-based acoustic studies using programmes such as Strutt (Arup’s in-house acoustic Excel add-in), SoundPLAN, Odeon, etc.
* Assist in writing reports detailing our acoustic assessments suitable for submission to our clients.
* Help develop a digital offering for acoustics, including developing online and in-person experiences to communicate project goals to clients and stakeholders.

Ideally, you will have the following qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Acoustics, Environmental Science, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics. Other subjects will be considered if you can demonstrate a strong interest in working and learning further in a technically demanding environment.
* Maths or a science subject at Leaving Cert (or equivalent) level.
* Experience in computational modelling, finite/boundary analysis.
* Modules such as sound, acoustics, waves, vibrations, or digital/coding-related modules.
We also value:
* A strong ability to communicate with a team and report writing.
* Interest and skills in any of the following:
o Computational modelling
o GIS and/or coding
o Health effects of noise
o Sound systems
o Sound recording
o Signal processing
