The Group is involved in both the retail grocery and hospitality industries. The Group currently comprises of three large Super Valu stores situated in Balbriggan and Skerries, North County Dublin and Palmerstown, Dublin 20 and two 4* Hotels, The Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan and The Court Yard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. The Position: The Fruit & Veg./Produce Manager is responsible for the overall management of our large fruit & veg department. This is a full time position working an average of 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays. Main Duties: Working as part of the stores management team Department Set up/display. Staff training & development Ensuring compliance with all legislation applicable to the industry Ensuring customers experience excellent service at all times Ensuring the department is presented in a professional manner. Stock Ordering Stock-takes Driving sales & margin in the department. HACCP duties Ensuring all company policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to Requirements: Must be fluent in the English Language both verbal and written A minimum of 2/3 years experience in a similar role within a fresh food oriented business preferably with high volume sales. Previous fruit & veg experience in a Super Valu store would be an advantage but is not essential. Must have a good knowledge of financial reports relevant to department e.g. sales reports. Must have a strong eye for detail. Must have strong organisational skills. Excellent communications skills Excellent leadership skills Strong knowledge of fruit & veg/produce in general.
