Plant Manager

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Plant Manager with a proven track record in good manufacturing practices and lean principles, ideally within Timber-frame/Modular Build Production or Off-Site Manufacturing. The role encompasses overall responsibility for Production, Scheduling, Logistics, Health & Safety, Environment, Quality (SHEQ), and Maintenance. You will work closely with various departments, including Design and Site Installation teams, as well as the Group Capital & Development team on Site capex.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality assurance standards.
2. Develop the production plan for the Longford site, maximizing returns from the Timber-frame process.
3. Contribute to the overall production strategy and monitor performance against budgeted KPIs.
4. Drive efficiency through short and medium-term projects and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
5. Lead and support the recruitment, onboarding, development, and engagement of the plant team in conjunction with HR.
6. Establish regular production meetings to ensure the delivery of the production plan.
7. Collaborate with Shift Managers & Supervisors to share knowledge and best practices.
8. Contribute to the development and implementation of capital investment strategy plans and NPD projects.
9. Ensure smooth and efficient operations across planning, design, production, and Timber-frame erection.
10. Develop and maintain a strong culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills & Experience:
11. Qualification in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
12. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Plant/Site Management, with experience in Timber-frame, Modular Building, or Off-site Manufacturing being an advantage.
13. Demonstrable ability to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
14. Proven ability to streamline processes and drive efficiency.
