The Faculty of Education and Lifelong Learning is one of six Faculties in SETU. The Faculty houses three academic departments, the Literacy Development Centre (a national centre for the professional development of staff working in adult literacy), Calmast, a national STEM centre and the Music School (provision of part-time music tuition including choirs). The Faculty offers a portfolio of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and is research active across a number of domains including adult and community education, adult literacy, teacher education, management and leadership in education and teaching and learning in higher education. This role will be directly involved with the Music School. The Music School attracts students from schools across Waterford city and county and provides tuition for children at primary and post-primary level. The role will support the coordination of activities, programmes and events coordinated by the Music school, and involves working with the HoD Education, HoF and Music School coordinator in the development of systems and procedures to enable the Music school to align with the organisational reporting requirements and systems in the University.
