Research and Development Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a profound understanding of disease states and physician techniques to become a subject matter expert.
* Conduct research to meet R&D needs in the development of devices for the treatment of neurovascular diseases.
* Collaborate with cross-functional team members on research planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
* Engage with external researchers, physicians, and academics to comprehend unmet needs and contribute to the development of in-vitro models, pre-clinical experiments, and test protocols.
* Generate meaningful outputs to support product development teams, including data analysis and research findings.
* Ensure timely project completion, adherence to project timelines, and clear communication of updates, risks, and issues.
* Support field-based engineers in delivering consistent content on research topics.
* Stay current on neurovascular disease research and apply insights to prioritize product development.
* Contribute to publications and present original research at industry symposia or scientific congresses.
* Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
* Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Medical Degree (PhD is a plus).
* Minimum 2 years' experience in the medical device industry or relevant postgraduate research.
* Proven track record of conducting scientific research with significant outputs, such as peer-reviewed articles, white papers, or conference presentations.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Experience in neurovascular disease and its treatment is preferred.
* Experience developing in-vitro test methods for medical device evaluation is a plus.
* Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and scientific community members.
