Job Description
A Maintenance and Reliability Engineer role has emerged for a Cork based Mechanical Engineer with experience in a regulated environment.
Responsibilites:
1. Provide engineering support to both maintenance and equipment owners in your area of expertise.
2. Ensure maintenance program is appropriate for reliable operation of equipment.
3. Provide training to Maintenance personnel on new equipment, methods & techniques.
4. Follow up on issues identified by equipment owner or via the maintenance Preventative Maintenance program.
5. Participate, raise, investigate & complete HSE & Quality observation/deviations write-ups as appropriate.
6. Ensure the local maintenance procedures are in line with Global Engineering Standards & Engineering Best Practices.
7. Ensure Job Plans, data sheets & data loaders for addition to the computerised Maintenance management systems (CMMS) are correct and contain sufficient detail.
8. Lead reliability improvements to identify equipment obsolescence in advance to support planned replacement vs reactive replacement using existing & developing technologies.
9. Identify & support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the Maintenance program in the short & medium term to maintain a reliable plant.
10. Analyse predictive & condition-based monitoring data to identify follow-up actions and prioritise implementation with equipment owners
11. Lead the development & contribute as SME, to site Mechanical Specifications.
12. Develop, Review & own Departmental SOP's.
13. Review Stores & Inventory levels of critical equipment.
14. Carry out internal audits and periodic reviews of GMP activities to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
15. A level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineer.
16. 5+years experience within the pharmaceutical industry in a maintenance/engineering role.
17. Demonstrated ability to act independently using good organisational skills.
18. Proven ability to make good use of systems, procedures & processes.
19. Working knowledge of relevant EU directives (e.g. PED, ATEX, Machinery etc.)
20. Familiarity with the relevant national/international engineering standards (e.g. NSAI, ASME, ISO, CEN, IEC, CENELEC etc.)
21. Expertise in Troubleshooting and Equipment failure investigation.
