Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Communications Assistant to join our team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our Communications Manager and contribute to the development of community engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in community engagement and consultation processes
* Prepare written materials for newsletters, promotional, and informational documents
* Take notes and minutes of meetings, and follow up with actions and queries through communications channels
* Update information on social media and website
* Prepare marketing materials to support various projects
* Assist in organizing and coordinating events, both online and in-person
Requirements:
* Communications qualification or related discipline
* 2+ years experience in a communications role
* Experience assisting at launches or events
* Experience managing social media and websites
* Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software
