About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Setting Out Engineer to join our dynamic team for an exciting large-scale residential project in County Louth. The project involves the construction of approximately 200 high-quality homes, and we require a dedicated professional to oversee and ensure the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in a landmark development, working with a reputable construction company that values innovation, teamwork, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Setting Out & Surveying: Lead the precise setting out of all construction works, ensuring accuracy in alignment, levels, and dimensions.
2. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior engineers and site teams to ensure adherence to best practices and project specifications.
3. Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure compliance with project plans, design specifications, and regulatory standards.
4. Coordination: Liaise with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication and efficient workflow.
5. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
6. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of site progress, setting out data, and any variations to project plans.
Requirements
1. Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Experience: At least 6 years of experience in setting out engineering, with a strong background in residential projects.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency with surveying instruments (e.g., GPS, total stations), CAD software, and construction management tools.
4. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulatory requirements in Ireland.
5. Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
6. Certifications: Full clean driving license and relevant safety training (e.g., Safe Pass).
