Ward Personnel require a commercial glazing service technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of glass and glazing systems in commercial buildings such as office buildings, retail stores, hotels, and other commercial spaces.
Key Responsibilities: Installation: Install glass panels, curtain walls, and other glass structures using hand and power tools.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on glazing systems to ensure they are in good working condition.
Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with glass installations, including replacing damaged glass and fixing leaks.
Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of glazing systems to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Customer Service: Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions to glazing-related issues.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations.
Qualifications: Proven work experience as a commercial glazier or glazing service engineer.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy loads Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
Preferred Skills: Experience with various types of glass and glazing techniques.
Familiarity with different glazing systems and their maintenance requirements.
Ability to work at heights and use scaffolding or ladders safely.
