Business Analyst – Mortgage Transformation Programme

About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Business Analysts to support a large-scale Mortgage Transformation Programme within the financial services sector. This programme will drive significant changes across customer communications, risk management, data analytics, operational processes, IT systems, and regulatory compliance.
As a Business Analyst, you will work with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess business impacts, support implementation, and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
o Collaborate with business and technology teams to define and document business requirements.
o Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for proposed changes.
o Translate business needs into clear, structured documentation for delivery teams.
* Process Mapping & Operational Readiness:
o Assess current (‘As-Is’) and future (‘To-Be’) mortgage-related processes.
o Identify operational impacts of system, policy, and regulatory changes.
o Support workshops with business users to refine new processes and workflows.
* Customer Communications & Risk:
o Ensure clear, compliant, and customer-focused communication strategies.
o Support the completion of Customer Impact Assessments (CIAs) and governance approvals.
o Work with legal, compliance, and product teams to align changes with industry regulations.
* Data & Reporting:
o Work with data teams to extract, validate, and analyze mortgage-related data.
o Provide insights to support decision-making and process improvements.
* Governance & Stakeholder Engagement:
o Support governance and approval processes, ensuring all changes meet internal and regulatory standards.
o Engage with senior stakeholders to communicate business impacts, risks, and recommendations.
o Work across multiple workstreams to align business and IT objectives.
Key Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within mortgage lending, financial services, or banking transformation programmes.
* Strong understanding of mortgage products, lending processes, and regulatory requirements.
* Experience with business process mapping, impact assessments, and requirements documentation.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, MI reporting, and operational risk assessment.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
* Experience with project methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models.
