We are seeking a qualified Dietitian to join our team in Wexford. This is a part-time permanent role, working up to 17.5 hours per week, with flexibility to choose between two or two and a half days.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the nutritional care and dietetic requirements of patients diagnosed with renal failure in collaboration with our Clinical Nurse Managers at our clinic in Wexford.
This role requires complex dietary manipulation to achieve optimal patient outcomes, including maximising medical and nutritional status while avoiding nutrition-related complications and disease progression.
Qualifications Required
* Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics recognised by the Department of Health
* Diploma in Dietetics and Nutrition from Dublin Institute of Technology/BDA Renal Course or equivalent
Candidates with qualifications from outside the Republic of Ireland must provide evidence that their qualifications have been validated by the Department of Health.
Registration or eligibility for registration with CORU as a Dietitian is also required, along with proficiency in the English language.
Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of postgraduate relevant work experience in dietetics.
Professional Knowledge
Knowledge of renal dietetics and renal replacement therapies would be advantageous, as well as evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
