The project: The project manager shall have responsibility for supporting the project and programme management lead in the overall execution of the project's delivery, bringing the necessary project management skills and experience that will integrate with the existing TII Project Team to ensure that the project directorate plans, tracks and delivers against the project programme and budget.
The project manager shall provide project management support in regards to the following key activities:
Mobilisation and onboarding of client partner resources within the project directorate.Establishment of the project directorate PMO.Development of the information management framework.Procurement of the core contracts, assisting with the completion of Tender Design and all related documentation.Development and coordination of relevant inputs into the production of procurement documents.Our values shape the way we consult: Safety first - Going home safe and well: You will promote Mace's value of Safety First, exhibiting visible safety behaviours.You will possess technical expertise in local Health and Safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.You will promote a diverse and inclusive working environment.Client focus - Deliver on our promise: You will ensure robust quality systems are in place, and suitably managed in line with service excellence.You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase.You will manage tasks and associated deliverables to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the project.Integrity - Always do the right thing: You will manage project budgets and highlight any risks, challenges and mitigations.You will support the long term development of your function or Business Unit (BU).You will commit to making a positive impact for our people, our clients, and our planet.Create opportunity - For our people to excel: You will manage design and wider consultant teams in a collaborative manner.You will lead and manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).You will actively network and innovate, seeking understanding of best practice.You'll need to have: 10+ years' project management experience with at least 5 years' experience in high value metro rail projects or similar scale/complexity.BEng/BA/BSC in a related discipline.Degree/diploma/certification in system integration and assurance.Prior experience of cost management for multiple projects.Tangible experience of driving best practice in technical activities.In-depth understanding of design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects.Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels.Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices is desirable.Ability to manage technical outputs to drive efficiency.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service.You'll also have: Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent.Property or infrastructure project management expertise.Commercial and financial acumen.Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.Experience of developing relationships with senior stakeholders.Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape projects.Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
