QC Chemist Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled QC Chemist to join our team at the Newbridge site for an 11-month contingent fixed-term contract.
Main Responsibilities:
* Routinely performs sampling and analysis, providing target training for team members as needed.
* Writes laboratory investigations, ensuring compliant and timely event resolution, and participates in error reduction activities in the laboratory.
* Performs additional laboratory duties as required and conducts peer reviews.
* Provides an efficient customer-focused service by maintaining laboratory processes, equipment, and services in an operational (and safe) state.
* May participate in non-routine/complex projects and write laboratory documentation, protocols, reports, and PRRs.
* Identifies Continuous Improvement opportunities and progresses Continuous Improvement projects.
* Ensures strict adherence to site policies/procedures, cGMP/GLP, and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in a constant state of compliance and audit readiness in line with current regulations, PQS, and business needs.
* Safety and housekeeping considerations are also essential.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
* Third-level qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
* Previous relevant laboratory experience and good knowledge of cGMPs are desirable. Colleagues must have good people, communication, organisational, and time management skills.
* The ability to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and work within a team and on own initiative where required is crucial.
