EHS Engineer (12 month Contract)
We are seeking an EHS Engineer to join our team in Sligo. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Environmental Health and Safety are maintained throughout the plant.
The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent, with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Experience as an Internal Occupational Health and Safety Management System Auditor (ISO 45001 & ISO14001) is also desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain compliance with all relevant EHS legislation and develop systems and procedures to optimize safety, health, and environmental performance.
* Ensure effective contractor management systems and procedures are followed.
* Liaise with managers to ensure employees are trained to a defined competency standard on all applicable EHS policies and procedures.
* Perform risk assessments throughout the plant and oversee training on risk assessments.
* Manage the EHS assessment of all new chemicals and processes.
Essential Requirements:
* BSc in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.
* 2-3 years of relevant experience.
* Internal Occupational Health and Safety Management System Auditor (ISO 45001 & ISO14001) certification is desirable.
Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 per annum.
This is a 12-month contract position based in Sligo.
