Job Summary
A leading Cyber Security firm in Dublin seeks an experienced and motivated IT Field Engineer to provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring optimal IT performance for clients based in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks at client locations.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including connectivity, hardware failures, and software malfunctions.
* Provide support for IT infrastructure, including servers, printers, and mobile devices.
* Assist with network configuration, security settings, and system updates.
* Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
* Maintain detailed documentation of all service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
* Evaluate compliance with company policies and industry standards for IT security and data protection.
* Travel to client sites as required, sometimes on short notice.
Requirements
* Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Proven experience in IT support, field engineering, or a related role.
* Strong knowledge of M365, Active Directory & Entra ID (AAD), Hardware & Software applications, server experience networking and troubleshooting methodologies.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, VPNs, and remote desktop tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, strong customer service and communication skills.
* Valid clean driver's license and willingness to travel.
Nice to Have
* Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
* Experience with IT asset management and ticketing systems.
* Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
