QC MICROBIOLOGIST
Job Summary:
A QC Microbiologist is responsible for undertaking laboratory operations and compliance with minimal direct supervision. The role involves a high level of laboratory testing, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities:
* Routinely performs sampling and chemical/physical analysis, providing target training for team members.
* Performs additional laboratory duties as required and conducts peer reviews.
* Provides an efficient customer-focused service by maintaining laboratory processes, equipment, and services in an operational and safe state.
* Participates in non-routine/complex projects.
* Writes laboratory documentation, protocols, reports, and PRRs.
* Identifies Continuous Improvement opportunities and progresses related projects.
* Maintains strict adherence to site policies, procedures, cGMP/GLP, and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* Ensures the area of responsibility is maintained in a constant state of compliance and audit readiness.
* Safety and housekeeping considerations.
* Executes responsibilities in line with Right First-Time principles.
* Resolves and/or escalates issues appropriately.
* Demonstrates company values and Pfizer competencies.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Education:
A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
Experience:
Previous relevant laboratory experience and a good knowledge of cGMPs are desirable. Colleagues must have good people, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
