Junior Editorial Assistant
Our Client, Irelandia Press are a Publishing House based in Dublin, who are looking to recruit an ambitious and pro-active Junior Editorial Assistant to join our busy team.
This will be a varied and highly interesting role where you will assist the team with numerous tasks, as well as managing some of your own projects. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for their next challenge in publishing and looking to develop while working within a dynamic team.
This role will be full time, based in Dublin, with working from home opportunities.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role will include:
1. Collating and checking corrections
2. Copyright clearance
3. Briefing designers and checking illustrations
4. Project management
5. Creating and checking digital resources and contributing to social media campaigns
6. Photo research
7. Administrative tasks e.g., posting out proofs, scanning corrections etc.
8. Meeting with current and potential authors
9. Managing the website
10. Assist with communications with design, publicity and sales teams.
11. Liaise with Irelandia Press and the wider team on any other book and media related projects.
The successful person will be educated to degree level or equivalent. You will ideally have some experience within the publishing industry. Sound project management skills are required as are exceptional time management and prioritizing skills. An interest in design, digital learning and multimedia is desirable as is an interest in education. You will also have great IT skills, in particular MS Word.
A knowledge of the Irish language would be an advantage but is not essential.
A full Irish Driving Licence is desired.
