A full-time and permanent position has arisen within Vhi for a CNM 11 role within Enhanced Primary Care. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership within the Nursing Teams on all issues relating to clinical excellence, patient care, quality and service development nationwide.

Role Purpose:
* To provide leadership, advice and expertise on all clinical nursing issues throughout the Enhanced Primary Care services ensuring policies and standards are adhered to.
* Ensure effective line management and clinical supervision nationally of all nursing staff within the various Enhanced Primary Care services.
* To play a key role in the continuous professional development of nursing staff within the service and be professionally accountable to the director of nursing.
* Be responsible for workforce planning annually for the nursing teams in order to maintain continuity of Enhanced Primary Care services. Ensure effective recruitment, competency assessment and rotas of nursing teams across the services.
* To manage the quality framework within Enhanced Primary Care.
* Implement change and QI in services and systems including ascertaining and developing nursing competencies to support the services.
* To set and maintain clinical standards for the nurse team and ensure standards are achieved and maintained. This includes ensuring all nursing personnel involved in Enhanced Primary Care have appropriate experience, qualifications and training.
Education & Experience:
* Minimum five years post graduate experience with a minimum of two years’ experience at Nurse Lead/CNM level.
* A registered General Nurse on the Register of Nurses held by An Bord Altranais or be entitled to be so registered.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Demonstrates alignment with Vhi values.
* Management qualification desirable.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
