The Plant Finance Business Partner (BP) provides financial oversight for the Athy factories, contributing to overall plant management.
This role involves developing and implementing action plans to support financial performance while ensuring compliance with the company's internal control policies.
The BP works as part of the plant leadership team, offering financial insights and guidance across various operational areas.
What you'll do:
Reporting & Analysis Oversee the monthly and annual closing process, working with the EBS team and ensuring compliance with Etex accounting principles.
Prepare and deliver accurate financial forecasts to support business planning.
Manage the standard costing process in SAP/BPC, including reviewing and updating BOMs and routings.
Financial & Operational Controls Lead financial processes, including approving purchase orders and ensuring internal control compliance.
Maintain an effective internal control system to safeguard financial integrity.
Conduct financial risk and opportunity analysis, providing insights to support decision-making.
Investment Management Take ownership of the financial aspects of the Capex process, from feasibility studies to final approval.
Oversee project tracking in SAP, ensuring timely and accurate asset activation and cost monitoring.
Conduct post-mortem analysis to evaluate investment effectiveness.
Operational Excellence Lead the Cost Performance Tracker process, ensuring clear cost tracking and financial impact calculations.
Collaborate with Continuous Improvement (CI) teams to drive cost-saving initiatives.
Educate plant personnel on key performance metrics, fostering financial awareness across teams.
What you'll bring:
Strong understanding of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles, including P&L and balance sheet dynamics.
Experience navigating various economic conditions (expansion, contraction, and stability), with expertise in forecasting, scenario planning, risk analysis, and contingency development.
Proven ability to lead teams within a manufacturing environment, driving operational planning, cost savings, forecasting, and investment analysis.
Active involvement in developing and executing strategic plans, contributing to long-term business growth and stability.
