Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and lead pharmaceutical construction projects in Ireland. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of complex, high-value projects, meeting quality, cost, and schedule requirements while adhering to strict regulatory and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of pharmaceutical construction projects.
* Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organisational goals.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
* Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards specific to pharmaceutical and bio-tech facilities.
* Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Monitor and report on project progress, providing detailed updates to senior management and stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices to optimise project outcomes.
* Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of project management experience in construction, with at least 5 years in pharmaceutical or bio-tech facility projects.
* Education: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification is desirable.
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical construction processes, cleanroom environments, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, FDA, EMEA standards).
* Leadership: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage large-scale budgets, and deliver projects within scope and schedule.
* Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
* Location Flexibility: Willingness to travel between Cork and Dublin as project demands require.
* Skills: Proficient in project management tools and software; familiarity with BIM, Lean Construction, and other advanced methodologies is a plus.
