Ad Astra Fellow - Assistant Professor of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Diagnostics
The University College Dublin (UCD) School of Medicine has identified the application of artificial intelligence in clinical medicine and biomedical research and practice as a key strategic priority.
In this role, the successful applicant will be involved in state-of-the-art research and teaching in the application of AI to medicine and medical research, including areas such as:
* The role of AI in diagnostics
* Data analysis
* Clinical intervention decisions
This fellow is expected to contribute to the expansion of critical mass in AI research across multiple disciplines in the Schools of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting cutting-edge research in AI for medical diagnostics and its applications
* Teaching and mentoring students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
* Developing and maintaining collaborations with national and international partners
Appointment Details
The appointment will be made on the Lecturer/Asst Professor Above the Bar salary scale, with a starting salary of €62,855 per annum. The position is available immediately, and the appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
