Role The position will play a key role in planning, designing, and implementing multiple finance aspects of Transport Technology projects in the organisation. The Senior Financial Analyst will assist in coordinating the finance work streams for NGT and other projects, ensuring that interdependencies, risks, and issues are identified and mitigated. The role will support the finance business readiness for Next Generation Ticketing and assist the Head of Transport Technology Finance in the design, documentation, and establishment of robust financial governance and control. Responsibilities The Senior Financial Analyst's key areas of responsibility will include but will not be limited to the following: Communicating information in a clear and engaging manner to multiple stakeholders and projects across the organisation; Responsible for developing deliverables including, but not limited to, the operational plan for NGT, Performance guidebook for NGT, and NGT scheme rules/operating rules as they apply to the finance control environment; Applying a structured methodology and leading planning activities across finance projects, enabling NGT implementation within agreed timelines; Identifying and designing processes and policies in areas of change, and participating in design workshops with the organisation's new NGT Partner on financial/transaction work streams; Assisting with detailed planning and delivery of the finance organisation readiness for major projects in Transport Technology, including Next Generation Ticketing; Coordinating with applicable internal and external teams to define, plan, and deliver all finance aspects of the ticketing solution's planning and controls; Ensuring clear, open communication with multiple stakeholders, including Transport Technology, Financial Management System projects, external vendors, and the Financial Control Environment team members, to ensure that all aspects of financial planning and controls are incorporated into the new schemes; Ensuring business requirements and system designs are clearly defined and implemented from a finance perspective; Supporting the Head of Transport Technology Finance with NGT and system developments, including the Financial Control Environment; Assisting the organisation with other ad hoc items as they arise. Role Requirements & Key Competencies 5+ years' satisfactory relevant experience working as a Senior Financial Analyst; A professional accountancy qualification and membership in a recognized professional body of accountants; Strong analytical ability, with a logical approach to problem-solving and sound judgment; Proficiency in MS Office and Power BI (particularly MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio); A 'can-do' approach with the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines; Excellent business analyst skills, with experience in process mapping and redesign; Ability to influence others, work toward a common vision or goal, and clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences; Well-developed leadership and management abilities with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a business partnering mindset; Strong organisational and project management skills, with experience implementing finance systems and associated projects; Dynamic, with a natural focus on the 'big picture' combined with strong attention to detail; Proactive, with a 'can-do' approach and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines; Previous ERP implementation experience in Tier 1/Tier 2 solution - preferable but not essential.
