We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team in the Craigavon area. As a key member of our finance department, you will support the Finance Manager and Director of Finance in the operation of our organisation's payroll functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Process all relevant people changes to the payroll system.
* Liaise with the HR department to collect relevant information.
* Upload and input data for monthly timesheets, additional payments, sickness, maternity, childcare vouchers, bike-to-work scheme, and other payments and deductions as required.
* Maintain accurate records of manual workings for payroll.
* Compile and enter payroll data onto the payroll system.
* Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors, liaising with staff/HR.
* Produce and file all appropriate payroll reports, including payslips.
* Process payroll by established deadlines.
Additional Duties
* Assist the Finance Manager in making payments to staff using online banking facilities.
* Issue payslips to staff and process time-specific and annual statements of earnings and deductions, including P45, P60, and statements as needed.
* Reconcile employee deductions and make payments/returns to relevant bodies as required.
* Produce year-end documents relating to payroll for the annual audit.
* Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive payroll, ensuring all requirements are met.
* Address employee pay-related concerns and provide accurate payroll information.
Requirements
* GCSE (A-C grade) or equivalent in Maths & English.
* 2 years+ experience working with computerised accounting packages.
* Proven experience effectively using a range of computer packages, particularly Excel.
* Excellent communication and team-working skills.
