OverviewReporting directly to the CIO, the role of Sustainability Programme Manager is pivotal in delivering our Sustainability Strategy by leading a wide range of sustainability projects related to logistics, transport, warehousing, supply chain, and developing and implementing customer sustainability tools.
The successful candidate will act as the interlock between heads of departments on sustainability, leading impactful projects.
You will be an ambassador of sustainability, championing sustainability to both internal and external audiences.
QualificationsStrong background in sustainability, corporate responsibility, or environment.Relevant third-level qualification (Environmental science, engineering, sustainability).Practical experience managing ESG programmes in business.Excellent organisational and document control skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.Awareness of carbon reporting and accounting, good understanding of GLEC framework.Experience working on sustainability, community-based projects, environmental management, or social development work.Strong negotiation and communication skills to work with a wide array of stakeholders.Impactful communicator, with experience in presenting and communicating technical data in an informative and influential manner to non-technical audiences.ResponsibilitiesWork with a wide range of stakeholders to develop and implement Sustainability Strategy.Plan, budget, execute, and communicate on a wide range of Sustainability projects.Engage with key customers to support their needs e.g., carbon reporting.Identify and propose interventions which improve the performance of Sustainability Strategy, identifying and sharing best practices between a wide range of internal stakeholders across multiple locations.Review Sustainability-related data, ensuring the availability and collection of high-quality data to underpin monitoring and reporting.Provide performance updates on all projects.Support engagement with local, regional, and national stakeholders on Sustainability issues.
