Company Accountant
My client are looking for a Company Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for either a part-qualified or qualified accounting technician to contribute to the smooth operation of company finance function working closely with external accountants, owner manager & junior accounts person for an office based role in Dublin 6W / 12 area
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including income and expenditure statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Transaction Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable, including coding, reconciliation, and payment processing.
* Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
* Property Management Accounting: Assist in the preparation of property-related financial reports, including rent roll and service charge reconciliation.
* VAT Returns: Support in the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
* Year-End Support: Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with auditors as required.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with budget preparation and periodic forecasts, ensuring accuracy in financial projections.
* Ad-hoc Financial Analysis: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning.
* Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding financial queries and property-related transactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Part-qualified or fully qualified Accounting Technician (AAT or equivalent)
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
* Previous experience in a similar role within property management or a related industry is highly desirable.
* Experience with accounting software packages (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in all tasks.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
* Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
* Strong MS Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex formulas and data analysis.
