We are currently looking for an Assistant Process Technician to join our team here at Novelplast. The Assistant Process Technician will play a key role in establishing a reliable database of our raw materials and how they perform on the line and in our unique blend. The role holder will also be hands-on in production, documenting our process and the adjustments to be made to ensure our blend produces top quality PET resin each and every time. Work will be either day shifts or on a 24 hour/365 days shift rota system. You will work as a member of a busy team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General duties:
2. Manage the feed of material at the start of the line so that there is a consistent flow of material to the shredder.
3. Escalate any concerns as to the quality of the raw material to Lead Operator/Production Supervisor/Quality Manager.
4. Complete periodic quality tests on all materials to include but not limited to colour, IV and fluorescence.
5. Manage the input of raw material so that the daily blend targets set for that production run are achieved.
6. Manage the bagging and output of finished material at the end of the line ensuring the capacity of the bags/containers is optimised.
7. Manage the removal, labelling and storage of reject material away from the line.
8. Implement changes to raw material input as instructed by the Production Supervisor or Quality Manager.
9. Ensure a thorough handover is completed before and at the conclusion of the shift to ensure that transitions are managed smoothly and effectively.
10. Operate Counterbalance Forklift and Clamp Truck in a safe manner.
11. Maintain a high level of housekeeping on the production floor.
12. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement on site - e.g. 6S.
13. Ask, if in doubt, about any particular practice or unusual finding.
14. Participate in relevant training and upskilling as required.

Qualifications:
1. Experience:
2. 2 years production experience (beneficial).
3. 2 years forklift driving experience (beneficial).

2. Excellent team player.
3. Flexibility to work on and off shift as required.
4. MS-Office.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
