Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts and Payroll administrator to manage payroll and assist with accounting and administration tasks in our Finance department. This role involves working directly under the Director of Finance.
Responsibilities
* Process weekly and monthly payroll for all staff, ensuring compliance with PAYE/PRSI regulations and liaising with Revenue Commissioners and Social Welfare as required.
* Prepare monthly payroll files, salary control accounts, and year-end financial audit controls.
* Manage electronic fund transfers and ensure timely submission of payroll files to the bank.
* Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees efficiently.
* Prepare and manage payroll budgets, ensuring alignment with financial planning.
* Maintain and update budget sheets for trips, tours, and retreats, ensuring accurate income and expenditure tracking.
* Allocate purchase orders, verify compliance with procurement policies, and ensure invoices are correctly approved.
* Update and allocate costs for transportation, housekeeping, and finance processing.
* Scan invoices for electronic payment processing and ensure all financial documents are filed systematically.
* Handle cash receipts, issue receipts, and process bank lodgements for cash and cheque deposits.
* Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Finance, including diary management, meeting coordination, and report preparation.
* Record absences for privately paid staff and assist with Garda vetting processes.
* Prepare documentation and interview packs for hiring processes.
* Maintain office systems, data management, and efficient filing procedures.
* Assist in leadership team reports, expenditure documentation, and handle ad-hoc projects when necessary.
Requirements
* 5 years' experience of SAGE Payroll (Micropay Professional) payroll system.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* A confident, professional communicator who is highly organised, capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a team as required.
* Confidentiality and attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
