Client-side Construction Manager
Our client is an infrastructure company who are seeking to engage a client-side construction manager for a series of rail orientated projects in the Cork Area.
Duties:
1. An experienced Construction Manager with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi-functional projects.
2. Excellent knowledge of construction techniques as well as project controls procedures, quality and health & safety.
3. Overall construction management and control of all projects from the completion of the design stage through to final construction, on time and within the budget.
4. Monitoring contractors and consultants for compliance with their contractual responsibilities.
5. Monitor progress of construction to time, cost, quality and high standards of health and safety.
6. Chair team meetings, including contractors, consultants and third parties/stakeholders.
7. Review of contractor operations, assessing both the strengths and weaknesses, implement changes and drive contractor workforce to deliver.
8. Maintain awareness of project progress and, where required, plan staff mobilization and demobilisation accordingly.
9. Maintain awareness of the financial status of projects.
10. Ensuring that consultants and contractors are being proactive in problem resolution.
11. Ensure project supervisory staff levels are satisfactory.
Requirements:
1. Engineering degree.
2. Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
3. Commercial awareness across different forms of contract.
4. Competent at Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
5. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in major project construction.
Work hours: 36 hrs per week – Salary €95K
