POSITION SUMMARY As Finance Senior Manager you will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and performance of our company.
You will support the GES finance director for the Global External Supply operation.
As well as supporting the GES Finance director the role will partner with GES Operations leaders and other cross functional organizations to ensure financial control and act as key advisor to support the operations team.
You will support the Finance Director by taking responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations, providing insights and recommendations to manage financial risks and opportunities, support strategic decision making and ensure financial health.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Co-ordinate Annual Budgets & Forecasts: Coordinate and consolidate forecast and budget for GES, aligning with strategic corporate objectives.
Assist in budget related reviews and analysis of budget financial projections.
Finance Manager for Month End & Qtr End: Provide clear and in-depth analysis on the month end platform financials ensuring integrity in the data, critiquing of financials and clear explanations of financial performance and operational drivers.
Business Partnership: Partner with Platform leads to manage Financial R&O and drive resolution.
Understand and identifying platform financial drivers to support and inform decision making on an ongoing basis.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Lead designated projects on improving month end processes, standardizing work across global FP&A and assist the introduction of and drive usage in Power BI Project Support: Perform ad hoc analysis to help inform business decisions (make or buy decisions) Support as required on strategic projects (as GES Finance POC) e.g.
Fiscal year alignment project, S4 Hana implementation and other strategic projects as they arise.
Tech: drive for automation and improvements through adoption of new technology ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS GES Operations (Category Managers and Demand Planning), GMS FP&A, GMS Compliance & Technical Accounting.
RESOURCES MANAGED Financial Accountability Preparation of GES Budget under supervision of Finance Director and Senior Director Supervision 2 indirect team members EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with highly developed communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to influence and persuade through personal credibility, integrity and professionalism.
Strong finance controller and business partnership credentials operating at a similar level in industry.
Core understanding of manufacturing finance principles and a manufacturing P&L Working knowledge of Anaplan, SAP, Hyperion Financial Management and/ or Essbase is a plus.
Knowledge and/or experience in inventory, cost accounting, manufacturing environment and cost center reporting is considered an asset Knowledge of US GAAP, exposure to SOX controlled environments.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Proven self-starter with can - do attitude and problem solver Well-developed communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to influence and persuade through personal credibility, integrity and professionalism.
Ability to condense key messages in clear short manner focusing on key story drivers.
Ability to meet reporting deadlines (operating plan, forecasting and month-end close activities).
Analytical and solution oriented to resolve complex issues, with attention to detail.
Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal).
