TBCSL is part of the Trinity Commercial department and supports with the delivery of commercial strategies across its Business Units - Accommodation, Catering, Events, Visitor Attractions (Book of Kells Experience and Trinity Trails) and Retail.
Role Overview
A results-driven and excellent customer service-orientated Event Manager is required to manage and deliver exceptional internal and external events.
The successful candidate will have significant industry knowledge and experience and will be an important interface and relationship manager for both internal and external stakeholders and clients.
The Event Manager role is part of the Central Events team within the Trinity Commercial department at Trinity College Dublin.
Reporting to the Head of Events, the successful candidate will contribute to achieving the annual revenue targets and events growth strategy, while supporting cross selling and collaboration across all commercial business areas.
All revenue generated is reinvested into Trinity College Dublin to support the academic mission of the University and fund research projects and development programmes.
In this varied and challenging role, the Event Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a range of events from enquiry to completion, ensuring seamless delivery, and exceeding client expectations.
They are expected to be commercially focused, proactive, flexible, have excellent organisational skills, strong data management skills, and be willing and committed to working within a dynamic environment.

The role will be based in Trinity College Dublin, working 5 days over 7 as required.
Core Responsibilities
* Generate, drive, and convert conference leads for Trinity College Dublin in line with annual targets and the events strategy
* Manage client enquiries and bookings, including venue viewings, event coordination, client service and management, and oversee process through to final invoice and post event evaluation
* Delve exceptional customer service for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, attention to detail, anticipation of client needs, and excellent events
* Act as the central liaison point between the client and College stakeholders, ensuring smooth running of events from briefing through to post event, constantly monitoring the quality of service delivery
* Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling event services, and coordinate these opportunities across other departments
* Develop detailed event plans and timelines, coordinating logistical details to meet client expectations
* Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, catering, audio visual requirements, suppliers, load ins, deliveries, and parking/access
* Roster Summer Student Ambassador staff, and supervise on-site staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery throughout each event
* Accurately record and disseminate event information via KX and CMIS software to clients and internal stakeholders
* Collate relevant Event Management Plans, Method Statements, and Health and Safety information (Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work)
* Host familiarisation and site inspection visits for potential group decision makers
* Ensure compliance with all policies and SOPs of Trinity College Dublin
* Support the Enquiries Office where required
* Support the Head of Central Events and other team members as necessary and undertake such other duties or projects as requested by the Head of Central Events
Experience & Skills Required
Minimum 5 years experience in Event Management, ideally within a venue, MICE or hospitality setting.
Customer focused, detail oriented, proactive and adaptable in a fast paced environment.
Proven experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a service-led or hospitality environment, consistently delivering excellent client service.
Strong project management skills, the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with effective time management, prioritisation and delegation skills whilst maintaining a professional and upbeat attitude.
Proficiency in using event management software, including CRM / Events / Hospitality software.
Flexibility to work long hours on event days, including evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, with the ability to resolve last minute challenges, technical issues, and unforeseen issues.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate requirements, provide instructions and troubleshoot issues.
Strong team player, skilled at building positive relationships both internally and externally.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with colleagues, managers, staff, and external partners.
Energetic with a proactive, results-driven mindset and a proven track record of delivering objectives.
Skilled in post-event analysis, gathering feedback, and making recommendations for continuous improvement in future events.
